Turkey Salad

<<

Turkey Salad is an easy recipe that is pleasing to both the eyes and tastebuds. It begins with the scrumptious Oven Baked Rice recipe. It continues with appetizing ingredients that are quick and easy - you can assemble a salad that is suitable for the most casual or formal occasions.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups smoked turkey meat, in bite-sized pieces or cut into large cubes* (tear meat off of fresh smoked turkey or *have butcher/supermarket slice six thick 1/2" slices of smoked turkey or turkey roll - you can cut the slices into large cubes)
  • 4 cups Oven Baked Rice
  • Lettuce leaves (Boston, Romaine or your favorite greens) - enough to cover the base of a bowl
  • 1/4 cup of your favorite vinaigrette salad dressing - pour quantity of dressing, to taste
Prepare turkey meat as indicated above.

Line a salad bowl with greens.

Leaving a green border and space for the turkey in the centre of the bowl, fill the middle of the salad bowl, on top of greens, with Rice Pilaf.

Arrange turkey meat/cubes in the centre.

Just before serving, drizzle vinaigrette over the top.

Serves 4.

Note: The quantities in this turkey recipe are flexible - you can adjust them to the size of your platter and number of guests.

You may add another tier of fruit or vegetables beside the greens if your platter is large - thinly sliced oranges or tomatoes would add color and taste to this salad recipe.
