Rice Pudding

Rice Pudding is a traditional recipe that remains one of the most comforting and popular dishes around. The ingredients come together as a most delectable and satisfying dessert – rice pudding is not only delicious but very soothing to the stomach.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • Pinch of nutmeg, if desired
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.

Place casserole dish in a larger pan containing an inch of hot water. Bake for 60 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Serve warm or chilled, with cream, sour cream, yogurt or plain.
