Oreo Muffin Recipe

<< This Oreo Muffin Recipe is a cinch to prepare and as you can imagine, will be pleasing to kids of all ages!


Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 20 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease or line muffin tins.

In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In a small bowl, combine milk, sour cream and egg. Stir into flour mixture together with melted butter/margarine until mixed, no more. Gently fold in the chopped cookies. Spoon batter into prepared muffin tins until each tin is ¾ full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes using middle rack of oven – until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.

Makes 1 dozen muffins (large size – 2 ½”)
