Nut Brittle

<< Nut Brittle is an easy Passover treat that contains only three ingredients: nuts, honey and citrus juice. Crunchy and sweet!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups honey
  • 2 tbsp. lemon or orange juice
  • 4 cups coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
At medium-low heat, stir honey and juice together and bring to a boil, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Add nuts and keep stirring until mixture is golden brown and thick. Remove from heat.

While hot, pour brittle onto heatproof surface or large cookie sheets covered with parchment paper. Spread out brittle onto parchment - use back of spoon or spatula that has been dipped in cold water. Press out brittle to ¼-1/2” thickness and allow to cool completely. Once brittle has become firm, you can break it up into pieces and store, preferably in a tin canister.

Makes: 1 ½ - 1 ¾ lbs.
