Chocolate Sticks - Quick and Easy Recipe
<<
Chocolate Sticks are very easy to make. These tasty chocolate chip cookies
are made with oil, mixed by hand and take less than 30 minutes from
preparation until serving. My neighbour Peggy, a terrific baker, was kind enough to share
this winning chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
Add ingredients to a mixing bowl in the order given. Blend all ingredients into
a rather stiff dough. Form dough into narrow logs. Place on a lightly
greased cookie sheet. Logs will expand.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes (chewy cookies) or 15 minutes (harder
cookies). Keep an eye on the logs - do not overbake. They will firm up
as they cool off.
Remove from oven, cool for a few minutes, slice into strips and serve.
Yield: approximately 16-20 cookie slices
Note: This recipe can be doubled or tripled.
